Netflix Has Added A Download Feature At Last

Netflix have finally added a feature that is going to make life a lot more comfortable for TV addicts. The download feature makes it easier than ever to download your favourite shows and watch them without an internet connection, if you’re on the move or just holed up in a cabin waiting for the end of the world.

The feature is however only available for certain shows, Orange is the New Black, The Crown, Narcos and Black Mirror are just a few of the titles available, although Netflix is promising more content soon.

This will come at no extra cost as well which is always nice to hear.

This should make the commute or flights to another country just a breeze as you learn how Alan Turing cracked the enigma code in The Imitation Game which is ready to go now.

All you have to do is make sure that the app on your tablet or phone is updated to the most recent version of the software and a download folder should appear on the home screen. From their an icon should appear beside the episode or film title and depending on your internet connection the content should be ready to go in a matter of minutes.

It’s such a simple but helpful function you have to wonder why they haven’t done it all along? Well the reason too is quite a simple one, it being that for the ability to download the content, Netflix required more complex licences. This may be why Netflix have invested so heavily in original programming this year with over 60 hours of new content made in 2016 so far alone.

Not bad, that’s a couple of days watching, the only thing is now the luas and buses will look even more like an episode of Black Mirror. We will hold of on the brain implants just for now though.
