The Apple iPhone 7 has just launched around the world and you can get it at Harvey Norman stores right now.
New owners are already falling in love with Apple’s latest device which features plenty of updates on the iPhone 6s, including new water resistance and an even better camera.
One thing it doesn’t have is a headphone jack which is move by Apple to replace an older technology. Instead you’ll listen to music via the Lightning connector on the bottom of the phone, via the included headphones or with an adaptor.
For those who are missing a regular headphone jack a recent video claims that you can restore this functionality by taking a drill to the base of your iPhone 7.
THIS IS A PRANK! DO NOT PUT A DRILL ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR NEW SMARTPHONE!
Does it really have to be said that this is a very bad idea. Why would Apple even hide a headphone jack inside and how could a drill possibly create a perfect hole for your jack?!
A few reactions online are suggesting that some users tried to take the YouTuber’s advice but we’re going to go ahead and assume they’re just playing along with the joke. Surely no one really did it?!
