Last year’s Garmin Forerunner 225 was an impressive device, so it seems like a challenge to find ways to improve it. Of course, Garmin is up for a challenge and produced the Forerunner 235, which should appeal to casual and serious runners alike.
The design of the Forerunner 235 won’t surprise you if you’re familiar with Garmin’s suite of running watches. It features a 1.23-inch LCD screen, which shows all the info you need, and it’s incredibly light at just 42g, which is actually lighter than its predecessor.
Looks aren’t everything when it comes to running watches; functionality is king. The Garmin Forerunner 235 features GPS to track pace and distance, and an optical heart-rate sensor. There are some notable additions; it features all-day heart rate tracking, smartphone notifications, and music controls. It also features support for GLONASS, which helps the watch place you if GPS is limited.
The Forerunner 235 can even predict your race times and offers recovery advice to help you know when you’re ready for another intense session. And, of course, it offers standard functions like auto pause, auto lap, personal records, and interval workouts.
Garmin has produced a light, comfortable, and feature-laden running watch that’s sure to lead the field.
The Garmin Forerunner 235 is available at Harvey Norman stores across Ireland now.
