It’s said that a photo says a thousand words, and your tweets could be a lot more expressive in the near future. Twitter is apparently testing out a new feature that will let users add stickers to shared photos.
Twitter user @XBLFoxes shared screenshots of the ‘Stickers’ feature with Re/code. It will not only let you add images to photos, but let you see how other users have edited that same photo. Users will also get suggestions of photos that they could edit to “participate in trending conversations and breaking news.”
A spokesperson said, “We’re always researching potential new ways to make Twitter more expressive.”
Twitter’s a little late to the game in this regard. Both Snapchat and Facebook let users alter photos already. It also hasn’t settled on a name for the feature. It could be called “Stickers,” but names like “Stamptags,” “Taptags” and “Stickits” are also in the running.
