The Best Apps of July 2018

There were plenty of great new apps released during the month of July, including Google’s brand new podcasts app, a pretty cool activity tracker app for dog owners and a new GIF app that comes with a musical twist.

Don’t forget, you can find our previous Best Apps blogs in the Apps section of Harvey Norman Go.

Google Podcasts (Android)

Google Podcasts is Google’s long-awaited podcast app and we’re pleased to say that the wait was definitely worth it. An Android exclusive (for the time being at least), the Google Podcasts app features a massive selection of podcasts from a variety of genres, including fan favourites and lesser-known gems. Additionally, you can pause the podcast on your smartphone and continue listening on a Google Home speaker or any other device with Google Assistant simply by using voice commands. Google Podcasts is available to download for Android devices right now.

Rundogo (iOS / Android)

While there’s lots and lots of different activity trackers out there for humans, we’ve only seen a few notable releases for pets. Rundogo aims to change that however, by providing dog owners with comprehensive activity tracker for all types of dogs. It comes with a range of public and private workouts for dogs and their owners plus useful features such as a temperature reader that tells you when the weather’s perfect for exercising your dogs. Rundogo is free to download on iOS and Android devices.

TuneMoji (iOS / Android)

The final app on today’s list is a fun little GIF app that adds music to a whole host of musical GIF. TuneMoji allows users to create, save and share their own personal moving GIFs with sound with friends and family. You can add music from your favourite artists to your GIFs and browse through GIFs created by other users. TuneMoji is free to download on iOS and Android devices.

For the very best in Smartphones, shop in-store or online.
