Netflix Gets a New Interface

One of the world’s biggest streaming services is getting a brand new interface that’s designed to make it easier than ever to find incredible TV shows and movies.

In a blog post published yesterday, Netflix announced the arrival of its new and improved Netflix app for smart TVs, video games, mobile devices and more.

The upgraded interface is currently rolling out for all devices and aims to make the browsing process super simple by using an intuitive new design to quickly link users to new content.

Some of the new additions to the interface include a sidebar on the left-hand side of the screen with separate sections for Search, Home, Series (TV shows), Movies, My List, and New.

It definitely looks a lot less cluttered than the previous Netflix interface and the company hope you’ll be able to find both exciting new content and your favourite classic films and TV shows in next to no time.

Speaking about the how Netflix came to the decision to change up the interface, Stephen Garcia, Netflix’s director of product innovation said:

“Our research has shown us that while a member generally isn’t sure what exact title they want to watch, they have a pretty good sense of whether they are in the mood for a quick series episode or a longer movie experience.

Garcia also noted:

“While this may feel like an obvious update to some, validating that this TV experience was better for our members took extensive research, testing and technology improvements.”

The new Netflix interface update is currently rolling out worldwide for all devices.

For the very best in TVs, shop in-store or online.
