There’s never been a better time to be a gamer, and with so many exciting video games still awaiting release we can confidently say that 2018 will be the biggest year for video games so far.
We’ve already seen the launch of Monster Hunter World, Far Cry 5 and the God of War reboot but as today’s blog confirms the best is definitely yet to come.
Red Dead Redemption II
The original Red Dead Redemption was one of the biggest selling games of the last generation of consoles and we’re confident that Rockstar Games’ upcoming sequel will break all sorts of sales records.
Set in the dying days of the Old West, Red Dead Redemption II is a prequel of sorts and follows protagonist Arthur Morgan as he and the other members of the Dutch van der Linde gang attempt to escape the lawmen that have been sent to hunt them down.
Red Dead Redemption II is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26.
This PlayStation 4 exclusive from Insomniac Games stars an older and more experienced Peter Parker as the titular Spider-Man, who must juggle the responsibilities of his civilian and superhero identities.
It features a ginormous New York City for players to swing around, explosive set-pieces and an original story from the man who’s been writing Spider-Man comics for the past decade, Dan Slott.
Spider-Man launches for the PlayStation 4 on September 7.
Not much is known about Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima’s latest game (no surprise there), but Kojima-san has revealed the game is a quasi-action game set in an open world that features online multiplayer elements.
Kojima drafted in a number of famous faces to star in the game including The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus as the protagonist, Hannibal’s Mads Mikkelsen as the antagonist and director Guillermo del Toro.
Death Stranding is rumoured to launch at a later point this year.
