The Evolution of Samsung TV – From Monochrome to SUHD


Today, Samsung is introducing a new wave of visual experience with its range of SUHD TV’s. First unveiled at CES 2015, the models are now coming to market offering up performance and quality beyond the Ultra High Definition format introduced in 2014.

With a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, deep contrast and incredibly tiny micro-crystal displays, SUHD is absolutely the future of television. But it has taken Samsung many years to get to this stage of engineering excellence, let’s take a look back at the history of TV.

First founded as a trading company in 1938, Korean company Samsung entered the electronics market in earnest in the late 60s and soon became one of the industry’s biggest players.
