All washing machines are not created equal. There’s plenty to take under consideration before you buy and the different elements that make up the machine – spin cycle speed, quick wash functionality and whether it also includes a tumble drying option – vary from model to model.
That’s a lot to think about, but one of the biggest differences between machines lies in drum size.
And that’s very much a big deal when you’re buying a new washing machine because you want to make sure it’s ideal for your needs. If you have limited space in your kitchen or utility room or have a smallish family, something with a drum size of 6 KG is ideal.
However, if you have a brood of little ones running about the place and feel like the washing never ends a 10 KG or higher would be a better option.
To give you a better idea of the benefits of different sized washing machines, Harvey Norman has put together these handy graphics.
