There are lots of fun-filled events taking place across the country this June Bank Holiday Weekend including Ireland’s biggest gardening event, the return of Funderland and a trip to the home of Ireland’s longest zip line.
Now in its 12th year, the annual Bloom festival returns to the Phoenix Park on Thursday, 31st of May for four days of gorgeous gardening, fantastic food and drink and plenty of horticulture tips and tricks.
Ireland’s biggest and most spectacular gardening event, Bloom features 70 acres of stunning garden design and a whole host of Bord Bia approved food stalls in addition to family entertainment, fashion shows, live music and more.
Bloom runs from 31st of May to the 4th of June and kids go free.
Thrill seekers take note: Europe’s premier travelling theme park Funderland will be at Groody Road in Castletroy, Limerick, on Thursday, 31st of May until Sunday, 10th of June!
Whether you love getting whizzed around on the waltzers, racing along a rollercoaster track or just want to have a go at some funfair games, Funderland Limerick has it all and more.
Funderland Limerick is open from 12pm to 10pm on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the Bank Holiday Weekend and from 2pm to 10pm on all other dates.
Castlecomer Discovery Park
Castlecomer Discovery Park is an 80-acre activity park located outside the town of Castlecomer, Kilkenney, and is the home of Ireland’s longest zip line.
There’s a wide range of activities visitors of all ages can participate in including the aforementioned zip line (300 metres long), a high ropes course, climbing walls, boating and canoeing, archery, walking trails and much more.
