Christmas can be a very stressful time of year, which is why it’s a wise idea to plan ahead.
One of the biggest and most important elements of a truly great Christmas celebration is of course the Christmas dinner, and in today’s blog we’re going to talk about dressing your table for what is perhaps the most important family meal of the year.
First things first, you’re going to need to know how much room is available, so make a list of all the dishes you will be cooking.
After this, place all the plates, cutlery, glasses and serving plates you will be using on the table, plus the tablemats, candles, gravy boats and any other items that will be kept on the table during dinner.
Once this is done you can start thinking about who’s going to sit where, what colours you’re going to use and the decorative items you want to include.
For a super simple yet wholly festive table dressing, we recommend the below, our Christmas Magazine 2017 which launches this weekend.:
The beautiful Colorado Dining Table is adorned with a Golden Reindeer Teal-Light Holder and a Pre-lit Garland, and accompanied by a Christmas Amber Glow Hurricane Candle Holder and Rustic Blue Candles.
Funky Christmas accessories like the Enchanted Cookie Jar also make for wonderful Christmas dinner table decorations:
As Christmas is such a special time of year, we recommend using the most eye-catching dinnerware available, such as the Artisan Dinnerware Range seen below:
We also recommend including regal colour options such as gold in your table dressing to really capture that Christmas spirit:
Serve drinks in style with some stunning Irish glassware, like the Tipperary Crystal Set of Two Connoisseur Gin Glasses seen above and the Tipperary Crystal Set of Two Connoisseur Cocktail Glasses seen below.
We’ll have plenty of more Christmas blogs in the months leading up to the big day, including one on how to create the perfect Christmas table centrepiece.
