Conor McGregor Interview – Sleep Pink

Conor McGregor is an Irish Mixed Martial Arts fighter, currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is the former CWFC Featherweight Champion and Lightweight Champion, which made him the first professional Irish fighter to hold titles in two separate divisions. On September 27, 2014, he fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 and won via TKO in the first round.

Congratulations on a hugely successful and busy year! How do you find the right work/rest balance?

Thank you, I don’t rest or work. I just carry on learning and improving.

As we’re all about sleep at Harvey Norman, how many hours sleep would you get a night?

I do love sleep! I usually sleep when I feel like it, some nights I’d sleep for 11 hours and others a couple of hours at a time. I usually sleep when I feel I need it.

How does lack of sleep affect your performance?

Sleep is everything! I always make time for it.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Drink water or green tea! I like to wake up to water to start hydrating straight away.

How does travel and unusual hours impact your sleep?

Depending on the flight time, it usually takes me a few days to get back to normal.
