The Marie Keating Foundation has been running since 1998 and provides a vital part in the fight against breast cancer by providing invaluable information and support structures for those most at risk.
The Foundation provides information on all the key cancers, including breast cancer, cervical cancer, throat cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer and bowel cancer.
Almost 3000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in Ireland every year and they need your help more than ever. For the month of October, you can show your support for those trying to fight this disease by donating your bra at a number of locations throughout the country.
Every bra donated equals a €1 donation from Roche Products Ireland and you can give them away in any size, shape or condition. The Marie Keating Foundation aims to collect 45,000 bras in October 2015, and each and every one can make a real difference.
The bras will also be used by students are material for recycling or as part of art projects and some will go on to be used in Africa to help local women’s groups.
You can donate your bra at Harvey Norman stores all over Ireland, just look for the special boxes in your local branch.
