Our love of food here at Harvey Norman is no secret, and neither is our love of cooking events!
Last Saturday saw the incredibly talented chef, food writer and author Catherine Fulvio enter our Flagship Store Tallaght’s kitchen to cook up a range of Mediterranean inspired dishes.
First up was a delicious Italian classic; homemade ravioli with butternut squash, goats cheese and herbs she had brought in from her own garden.
Next up was the dreamy Amaretto Truffle Torte, a mouthwatering flourless chocolate dessert that’s super light and tasty. Last but certainly not least, Catherine showed our audience how to prepare a Vietnamese beef salad with edible flowers that you too can make in no time.
Catherine had so many great tips when it came to planning for large gatherings, saying “The most important thing is to keep it simple and not take too much on.” She added “Food to share, that’s what you need, lots of lovely dishes in the middle of the table and let people dig in, it totally takes the pressure off.” What great advice to get you through entertaining a whole party!
One final piece of advice that Catherine left us with was to buy local more often, saying “A lot of the local shops are selling food from someone’s garden, just pick up what you can and enjoy what we grow so well in Ireland.”
