We here at Harvey Norman are hard at work fundraising for our Making Homes with Peter McVerry Trust campaign. We have a varied range of activities happening all over the country but one event in particular is really special. We’re currently taking bids for our Silent Auction which is being held in Limerick and features a fantastic, unique and one of a kind prize. Contemporary Irish artist of international acclaim Helena McMahon has donated one of her stunning paintings, titled “So much to say, so little time to say it”, to our store in Limerick for our campaign with the Peter McVerry Trust.
Here’s what Helena had to say of the painting; “The cherry blossom is so vivid in colour and when it is blooming there is no way you’d miss it. Those amazing shades of pinks and magenta they have – ‘So much to say’ and the second part of the title – ‘so little time to say it’ is a nod to its short blooming time before the elements toss it around and blow it right away. So enjoy it while you can – just like life!”
To be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize, drop into the Limerick store or phone them to place your bid. The highest bid will win the prize, with all proceeds going to the Peter McVerry Trust. The winner will be announced on the 26th of February.
