Welcome to Best Apps, a new Harvey Norman Go feature that takes a look at some of the very best iOS and Android apps released during the last month. In our first edition we’ve got a very useful document scanner, an inspiring cooking app and Mozilla’s latest web browser for smartphones.

Adobe Scan

This incredibly handy document scanner app scans paper documents such as bank statements, receipts, applications forms and images and converts and saves them as PDF files you can share from your smartphone. Simply open the app, point your smartphone camera at a document and the app will do the rest. Adobe Scan also features image editing tools like cropping and rotating, and is available to download for free on iOS and Android.

Craftlog Recipes

Craftlog Recipes is a super sociable cooking app with a strong focus on recipe sharing among users. You’ll find a wide range of delicious recipes for varying diets from all over the world, with many including images and video guides on how to prepare and cook the recipe. You can submit your own recipes and also add images and videos, and even translate your recipe into different languages. Craftlog Recipes is free to download on iOS and Android.

Firefox Focus

Did you know that the very first Mozilla Firefox web browser was initially released all the way back in 2002? Last month saw the release of Firefox Focus, Mozilla’s latest browser and one specially designed for mobile devices. Firefox Focus places a strong emphasis on protecting the privacy of the user, so if you’re concerned about pop-up ads tracking your website data and the like then this app is definitely for you. It’s available to download for free on iOS and Android.

For the very best in smartphones, shop in-store or online.
