Apple has revealed the details of their new smartphone range, and the iPhone 7 is looking like a major new update for the brand.
The iPhone 7 features a 4.7 inch screen while its larger brother the iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5 inch display. One welcome change right out of the gate is that both phones will start at a storage size of 32 gigs, going up to a massive 256 gigs. You’ll never have to worry about running out of space again.
Both phones now also have stereo speakers for the first time on an Apple handset and a brighter display with better colour representation than ever before. These phones are also water resistant and can withstand being underwater for up to 30 minutes!
There are new Black and Jet Black colour options on the way which look seriously slick as well as a redesigned home button which you can customise to work as you want it to.
One big feature the new camera which ups the megapixel count to 12. There’s a lot more going on including a new f1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation which makes a huge difference to low light performance. For you, that just means better pictures!
The iPhone 7 Plus goes even further with two cameras on the back. They’re both 12 megapixel sensors and the second is all about telephoto. That means zooming without blurring and the chance to get extraordinary effects like wide shots and background blur.
This is all backed up by the most powerful smartphone chip ever, the A10 Fusion. On top of keeping your apps and games and photos churning, it’s also designed for clever power use that lets your battery last longer than ever.
There’s a new iOS on the way too, as well as fancy Apple AirPod wireless headphones which look pretty stunning. Apple also showed off the Watch Series 2 which is faster and fully waterproof for swimming fans, it will arrive later in 2016.
The Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are available at Harvey Norman stores across Ireland on the 16th of September 2016.
