The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018, aka E3 2018, takes place this year from June 12th to June 14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

E3 is easily the biggest event in the gaming calendar and something many gamers look forward to each year, but what new video games can we expect to see at E3 2018?

The Last of Us Part 2

The Last of Us was one of the most popular games on the PlayStation 3 and fans have been clamouring for a sequel to the gritty survival horror since its release back in 2013.

Developer Naughty Dog confirmed it was working on Part 2 at the PlayStation Experience event in December 2016 and has released two cinematic trailers for the game but is yet to debut any gameplay.

Set five years after the original, The Last of Us Part 2 puts players in control of an older and more hardened Ellie as she and Joel continue their fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic America.

It’s almost guaranteed Sony will showcase some new footage from the game at E3 2018 so hopefully we’ll finally get to see the game in action.

Cyberpunk 2077

Video game publisher CD Projekt really knocked it out of the park with 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a beautifully massive open world action adventure set in a fantastical world filled with goblins, ghouls and dragons.

Gamers are hoping CD Projekt will be able to recapture the magic that made The Witcher series so special with the publisher’s latest offering, the upcoming sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077.

Little is known about the game but insiders suggest it will be heavily influenced by seminal cyberpunk fiction such as Neuromancer and Blade Runner and will feature a bigger and more detailed world than The Witcher 3.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Regarded by some as the greatest video game ever made, the original Final Fantasy VII was released on the very first Sony PlayStation 21 years ago.

It truly is one of the most beloved games of all time so it’s no surprise how happy fans were when Square Enix announced it was developing a remake of the game for the PlayStation 4 at PlayStation Experience 2015.

Square Enix has so far provided us with a brief gameplay video but industry insiders suggest new footage of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be revealed at E3 2018 and perhaps a launch window.

We’ll keep you posted and let you know all the big news from E3 2018 as it happens.
