This year is turning out to be another stellar year for smartphone releases but if the latest rumours and leaks are to be believed, we still have a whole slew of amazing smartphone launches ahead of us.

In today’s blog we’re taking a quick peek at the biggest smartphones industry insiders think will launch at some stage this year.

iPhone SE 2

The iPhone SE has proven to be one of Apple’s most popular iPhone devices so it should come as no surprise the tech giant is rumoured to be hard at work on the follow-up.

Apple is notoriously tight-lipped about unrevealed projects but a number of renowned insiders have suggested the upcoming iPhone SE 2 will sport a button-free 4-inch display in addition to some select features lifted from current devices like the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.

What these features are is anyone’s guess but we think it’s probable the iPhone SE 2 will at least come with Apple’s Animoji creator plus 3D facial recognition.

Nokia 9

Nokia is allegedly gearing up to announce its latest device, the Nokia 9 smartphone, in the coming weeks.

Tipsters are indicating the Nokia 9 will be a ‘camera smartphone’, one that’s fitted with a powerful triple sensor system including a 41MP camera sensor, a 20MP telephoto lens and a 9.7MP monochrome sensor.

If the rumours prove true, the Nokia 9 will feature one of the most advanced smartphone cameras in the world.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was one of the biggest-selling smartphones of last year so it’s likely Samsung will really try to pull out all the stops for the as yet unannounced Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Whispers from the underground speculate the Galaxy Note 9 will feature an upgraded camera, a new and improved S Pen stylus, an under-screen fingerprint scanner plus an updated version of Samsung’s smart assistant, dubbed Bixby 2.0.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as any of the above are announced!
