Jump-start Your Health and Fitness Regime this January


The New Year is a time of change and it’s a great opportunity for us to improve our lives and achieve our New Year’s resolutions.

Lets be honest though, it can be tough work sticking to our New Year’s resolutions and this is especially true of resolutions concerned with health and fitness.

1. Drink More Water

This probably seems obvious but you’d be surprised at the amount of people who don’t drink the daily recommended water intake of litres. Staying hydrated will keep your energy levels up and ensure you are awake and ready for the day all day long.

2. Keep Moving

Aim to complete at least 150 minutes of moderate activity, such as walking, each week to maintain weight and improve your health. Try to increase the total time you spend exercising by a few minutes each week and alternate between different activities (walking, cycling, swimming etc.) each day to keep things fresh.

3. Sleep Well

A good night’s sleep is vital for a happy and healthy life, so try get into the habit of going to bed at the same time each night and getting up at the same time each morning. Avoid electronics for at least 30 minutes before bed as this will help you to properly relax and unwind.

4. Get Connected
